Stories you play. Language you keep.

Alurio is an interactive story platform for children: read one section per screen, choose the path — or answer in your own words — and grow English through adventures that feel like play, not study.

The Alurio app: one story section, answer choices, and a star reward

How it works

Every story follows the same loop — and that loop is where the English lives.

Read

One story section per screen, with illustrations. New vocabulary and sentence patterns appear in story context, not on a memorisation list.

Choose or answer

At the end of a section, choose the path — or answer in your own words: typing, speaking, photographing, or drawing.

Two scores

Mission and English are scored separately. Dice luck never touches the language score, and weak English never stops the character.

Two ledgers that never mix

On Alurio, succeeding in the story and succeeding in English are different things — and they are counted separately.

Mission

How the adventure went: endings reached, stars collected, story endings discovered, time played.

  • The endings you reach
  • Stars and time
  • Story endings discovered

English

How the language is growing: scored from your own answers, with a per-type breakdown.

  • Scored from your answers
  • Per-type breakdown
  • Never touched by dice luck

A story that is also a radio play

Every character has its own voice, with layered sound — and a hands-free listening mode that plays without the screen.

Audio drama

What we promise parents

Every sentence in this section is a promise, and every promise sits on a shipped product rule.

Every story is human-reviewed

AI may help draft, but nothing publishes before a human reviews it for quality and safety (PR-1, SB-16).

The AI never chats with your child

The AI only matches your child's answer against what the author wrote. There is no open-ended AI chat anywhere in the app (SAF-02, PR-1).

No harsh game over

Failing means returning to a checkpoint. Learning progress never resets (PR-4).

Stories are age-banded

Every story is rated by author, checker, and reviewer — and the strictest rating wins.

Children's accounts stay minimal

A child's account holds only a nickname. Consent sits with the guardian (PLT-02/03).

Photos and recordings are deleted

Photos and recordings a child sends are used only to check the answer, then deleted (MED-01..05).

No advertising

Alurio runs no advertising. This is policy, not a marketing line (MKT-29).

1 of 3 story endings

Replay is the reward

Stories have multiple endings, and other paths stay locked until you find them. Every ending you discover joins your collection (PR-5).

You can write stories too

Authoring on Alurio is open to every account: a visual canvas, AI that assists at build time, an automatic checker, and a human review gate before anything publishes.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Start free with unlimited light stories, no payment card required. A paid tier — if one exists — only adds; it never cuts the free tier.

Does my child talk to an AI?

No. The AI only matches your child's answer against what the author wrote. There is no open-ended AI chat in the app (SAF-02, PR-1).

What English level are the stories for?

Every story is age-banded and level-rated, and the strictest rating wins. Children read one section per screen with vocabulary support in context — from first steps to fluent readers.

Does it run on an old phone?

Yes — Alurio is built for low bandwidth and runs comfortably on mid-range phones (TEC-04).

Does it need internet?

Alurio is a web app: stories load from the internet. Because it is data-efficient, it stays comfortable on ordinary connections.

Can I see what my child learned?

Every play records two separate scores — mission and English — and both stay visible and are never reset (PR-3, PR-4).

Is the content safe for children?

Every story passes screening — AI tooling plus human review — before publishing. Content that is harmful, inappropriate, or unsafe for children is rejected.

Can I write my own stories?

Yes. Authoring is open to every account: a visual canvas, AI assistance at build time, an automatic checker, and human review before publishing. Start at builder.alurio.id.

Can our school or course use Alurio?

Yes. For institutions there is a partner path: your own brand and domain, your own curriculum, your own subscribers. Reach us through the For Partners page.

Who writes the stories?

Humans decide — with drafts from AI. AI may help write, but nothing publishes before a human reviews it: quality and safety are human decisions (PR-1, SB-16).
